When designing our total music promotion package deal we referred to real music videos and promotional materials all through the method. We wanted to design our digipak and magazine commercial/poster so that, theoretically after seeing our video, our target audience would see the similarities on the poster, making them remember the video and subsequently Good Friends the tune after which purchase the CD; creating synergy. A defining element of the video was the performance” i.e. the girlfriend character lip syncing to the track filmed in profile and lit from behind in blue.
